Opening Night Film/Party

Opening Night of the 36th San Francisco Jewish Film Festival will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016. Festivities will begin with the Opening Night Film at the Castro Theatre, followed by the Opening Night Party at the Contemporary Jewish Museum. Box Office will be open at the Castro Theatre 1 hour before showtime for ticket and pass pick-up.

Please allow extra time for Will Call on Opening Night. The Opening Night Party is a 21 and over event.

Parking for Opening Night Party at the CJM is available for a fee at the Jessie Square Garage – Stevenson St. off 3rd between Mission & Market Streets.

The 10-Flix Voucher is good for 10 regular priced tickets to any 10 programs of your choice (not good for SF Opening Night, Closing Night, or Berkeley Big Night). Share with family and friends, fully transferable. Great for gifts! 10-Flix Vouchers do not grant tickets to shows at rush, so redeem early to ensure ticket availability.

The 10 Flix Voucher works like a gift card: You purchase it, sign in online with it, and then select tickets with it. You may use the 10 Flix in any permutation you choose, be it 10 tickets for 1 film, or 1 ticket for 10 films.

10 Flix may not be used in combination with other forms of payment and are valid through August 8th, 2016.

Orders may be placed over the phone at no extra charge. Please note that before the Festival, the Box Office line will be monitored from 10 am to 5pm Monday through Friday; during Festival, voicemail will be monitored and responded to 7 days a week.

Festival Box Office Hours (at theatres)

During the Festival (7/21 to 8/7), the Box Office will be open from 1 hour prior to the first screening of the day. The Box Office will remain open until 15 minutes after the last screening begins.

There will be a Festival Box Office at each venue when the Festival is screening movies at the venue.  Tickets for any event or screening in the Festival still available can be purchased at any Festival Box Office.

Will Call, Arrivals & The Fine Print

Will Call

Orders set to will call will be available at the venue and on the day of the first screening in the order. If all tickets were purchased on the same order, they will all be available for pick up at the first screening in the order; if tickets were purchased on separate orders, they will be available or pick up at the first screening of each order.  If you would like separate orders bundled together for pick up at your first screening, please email the box office.

If you miss the first show in your order, your order will transfer to the venue of the next screening in the order. Passes will remain at the venue specified above until picked up.

Will Call orders may be picked up by the person who placed the order with either a confirmation email or a photo ID. If you would like to change the name on your will call order, please email the box office at boxoffice@sfjff.org.

The Fine Print

  • Ticket and passholders must arrive 20 minutes prior to show-time to guarantee seating.
  • ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  There are no refunds, exchanges, or reprints.

Rush Line

Rush tickets may become available at the venue 15 minutes prior to showtime.  Available rush tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
